Did you know that more than 42% of people make New Year’s resolutions, but less than 8% actually achieve them?
It’s easy to set goals without a solid plan on how to obtain them. So here are a few quick and steadfast strategies that you can implement to help yourself be the most successful in 2015.
Ask For Referrals – Aim to ask for a referral every single day. You have clients who are raving fans of you and your business. They want to help connect you with other people that you can help, too. By asking for referrals, this will not only allow you to become more aware of what’s happening in the business world, but it will also help you notice missing services that you can add or improve upon.
Show Gratitude – Be gracious to your customers, business partners, and employees. Take time to acknowledge good work and when people go the extra mile. Customer loyalty is built on trust, fulfillment, and acknowledgment of a job well done. When you say thank you, it creates an internal smile in people and in turn they have a deeper relationship and appreciation for you.
Facilitate Introductions – Do you have someone in your network that’s in need of something or someone? Take time to facilitate introductions between your vendors and customers. I have a friend that spends nearly 80% of his day doing this. When you facilitate a solid introduction and that connection leads to business, there’s a very good chance that the same person will refer someone to you.
Take a New Initiative – Pick one BIG new initiative to implement in your business-marketing plan. This may be to re-launch your website, design a new logo, or give your business a whole new look.
My advice is that you pick just one of the resolutions from this list and start implementing the idea right away.
If you’re feeling really overachieving – take on two of these resolutions next week and let me know how it’s working for you.
